When leading the patient up the stairs, especially patients or injured people with a high weight, the helper must have a strong body. Also, there must be 2 helpers behind the patient side and 1 person at the foot of patient. In case the patient is not very heavy, helper may lift the patient behind chair alone as the following.
Unfold the trolley stretcher.
Put the patient or injured person on a chair and fastens all 3 seat belts on the legs. seating area and the back attached to the backrest for the safety while moving patient.
Press the button on the bottom handrail and pull it out at the same time in order to adjust the length of the bottom handrail.
Pull up the handrail behind the backrest.
The front assistant turns his back to the trolley stretcher and raise the bottom handrail together with the back assistant supporting the patient by holding the back handrail.
Always let the front assistant go up and down the stairs first.
